Our sustainability approach

For over 40 years, Plasticiens Volants has been creating monumental artistic works in public spaces, driven by the belief that art can be a source of wonder, social connection, and responsibility.

Our CSR approach is rooted in this vision: to design, produce, and present ambitious works while carefully managing their environmental, social, and territorial impacts.

Environmental responsibility

We pay particular attention to the restraint of our artistic and technical choices. Our sculptures and structures are designed to be durable, repairable, and reused over the long term, in order to limit the production of new elements and reduce the material footprint of our projects. Scenographic choices favor lightweight structures that are compact once packed, helping to reduce transport volumes and logistical impacts. When the use of helium is required, it is considered from the earliest design stages, with a constant commitment to minimizing the quantities used and optimizing existing systems.

Social responsibility and access to culture

Plasticiens Volants’ performances are designed to be accessible to as many people as possible.

Presented in public spaces, they reach all audiences, without social, cultural, or linguistic barriers, contributing to the democratization of access to culture.

Our projects encourage encounters, sharing, and collective reflection on human and contemporary themes.

They also rely on collaboration with host communities, mobilizing local resources and creating unifying moments that bring people together.

Gender equality, equal opportunities, and working conditions

Plasticiens Volants actively promotes professional equality and gender parity. The company ensures balanced representation across its artistic, technical, and administrative teams, including in professions historically marked by gender inequalities. We place particular importance on respecting working conditions, ensuring team safety, and recognizing skills, within a framework of cooperation, knowledge sharing, and mutual respect.

Responsibility embodied through artistic practice

For Plasticiens Volants, social responsibility goes beyond formal commitments: it is expressed concretely through artistic choices, production methods, and relationships with audiences and communities.

By engaging public spaces with durable, accessible, and meaningful works, the company demonstrates an artistic practice that is aware of its responsibilities and oriented towards the future.
